Alexandra Fuller

Creative Director & FILM DIRECTOR

Travel is in Alexandra Fuller’s blood—literally. Raised by two airline pilot fathers, she grew up with an innate sense of movement, place, and perspective. That pull led her to a career exploring the relationship between people and place—first as an agency creative, then as a commercial director, and also as an artist working in film and photography.

She spent years as an agency creative director, shaping campaigns for travel, hospitality, luxury and outdoor brands before stepping behind the camera to direct commercial films. As a director, she’s crafted cinematic, story-driven work for brands that trade in adventure, experience, and belonging. Alexandra’s visual art practice—focused on landscapes and communities in flux—deepens her approach to storytelling, bringing a nuanced, human perspective to the way brands connect with travelers. She is also the co-creator of  The Periphery, a retreat for the modern traveler in the Southern Utah desert.

Now, as the founder of  TOURIST, Alexandra collaborates with senior level creative partners to build bespoke teams for travel brands that want more than just marketing. She brings deep experience, a sharp artistic sensibility, and a collaborative approach to every project—ensuring the right stories reach the right audiences in ways that matter.

Ben Peters

Strategy DIRECTOR

Ben Peters is a senior brand strategist with over 25 years of experience helping organizations unlock the power of narrative to drive relevance, resonance, and results. With a sharp eye for cultural trends and a deeply human-centered approach, he connects insights to big ideas—and ideas to the people they’re meant to move. His work spans global brands and local institutions, from Google, Meta, Amazon, Visa and adidas to Snowbird Resort, AutoCamp Hospitality Group, and the Utah Office of Tourism. In both B2C and B2B contexts, Ben has developed brand and campaign strategies that meet the moment and stand the test of time.

Ben often enters projects at their earliest stages, where he leads audience, cultural, and competitive research, then remains engaged through concept development, media strategy, and launch. His strategic fingerprints can be found on hospitality, tourism, and outdoor lifestyle campaigns for clients like Moab Tourism, Public Lands, Marmot, ExOfficio, Travel Portland and Sundance Resort. At TOURIST, he collaborates selectively—bringing strategic clarity, curiosity, and warmth to projects that benefit from his uncommon blend of rigor and intuition.

PEDRO SALDARRIAGA

creative director & art director

Pedro Saldarriaga is a freelance creative director and all around get-the-brief-figured-out kind of creative. For the past 20+ years, he has been executing simple, hardworking ideas for household brands.

Pedro started his career as an art director at a design-centric agency working on accounts like Audi, The North Face, Oakley and Killington Mountain. He never attended ad school so his next career move took him to CP+B Boulder where he got a crash course on advertising and how big PR-worthy work gets made. Since then, he's worked at boutique agencies big and small helping brands create award-winning work that actually works for them. It makes sense, in hindsight: Pedro came to the U.S. from Colombia on a cycling scholarship — an outsider navigating new terrain on instinct. He's been doing the same thing in briefs ever since.

He lives in Denver, Colorado with his wife and daughter, two dogs, and 5 chickens. When he's not working, you might find him volunteering with the Chatfield High School mountain bike team or sneaking up on wild trout.

Elpitha Tsoutsounakis

Experience Designer & Creative Strategist

Elpitha Tsoutsounakis is a designer, printer, and educator living and working at the western edge of the Colorado plateau. Her practice and teaching span architecture, graphic design, book arts, fiber arts, printmaking, design research, and product design. Trained as an architect, she brings a spatial intelligence and material sensitivity to everything she touches—whether designing a national monument visitor center or prototyping speculative artifacts in her studio practice. Her background includes work in community-based design, academic research, and independent publishing, all driven by a belief in design as a tool for stewardship and connection.

As a founding faculty member in the University of Utah’s Multi-Disciplinary Design program, Elpitha teaches studios, design research, and visual strategy while maintaining an active creative practice through her research collective, Field Studio Geontological Survey. At TOURIST, she collaborates on select projects where experience, story, and space converge—offering a thoughtful approach to spatial identity, placemaking, and the design of meaningful encounters.

A. Nigh Herndon

VISUAL DESIGNER

A. Nigh Herndon is a seasoned graphic designer with over 25 years of experience shaping visual culture through brand identity, illustration, and typographic design. As the founder of Studio West of Death, A. Nigh has carved out a distinct voice in the design world—where grit meets elegance and every line tells a story. His work spans industries and continents, weaving together visual narratives that resonate deeply and endure.

Born and raised on the wide-open plains of Oklahoma, A. Nigh carries that sense of space and quiet power into every project. Today, he calls the mountains of central Mexico home, a landscape that mirrors the raw beauty and poetic intensity of his designs. With a Master's in Design, he brings both academic rigor and wild intuition to his craft—balancing structure with soul.

A. Nigh’s work stands apart for its moody palettes, evocative imagery, and fearless exploration of the human condition. From logos to fully immersive web experiences, he approaches each creation as a piece of visual literature—etched with meaning, memory, and myth.

Our logo

The Arctic Tern migrates farther than any animal on Earth—traveling from pole to pole and living in near-constant motion. For us, it’s a symbol of what it means to be a tourist in the truest sense: always arriving, always learning. We try to hold that mindset in our work—open to wonder, rooted in respect.
